5th Wednesdays Mini-Retreats!

If there is a 5th Wednesday in a month (see below), we hold a mini-retreat at Falls Lake—specifically Falls Lake Beaverdam Recreation area, Shelter #23.

TIME

10am until 1pm for the group. After that, you can stay until the park closes.

Or, go to the entrance located at 14600 Creedmoor Rd, Wake Forest, NC 27587. Enter the park, pay at the booth (high season only), and follow the park road all the way until it becomes a loop. Shelter #23. We'll be there.

COST

During high season, it is $7 per car. $5 for seniors and military vets.

WHAT TO BRING

• Yourself

• Something to write with

• Something to drink (no alcohol permitted in the park)

• Lunch

  • We may or may not have the fire going. If so, feel free to smore's it up or cook some hot dogs on a stick or in foil. Doublecheck with someone that we are going to have a fire. Or, better yet, bring your own firewood! :)

  • There is a park grill (charcoal) there. If you want to use it, feel free.

  • Most folks just bring a cold, bagged lunch.

WEATHER

We meet whether there be rain, shine, snow, or whatever. If the weather is truly nasty, though, or the roads are a mess, we may all wish to huddle in our own homes and not meet for that day. Pay attention to the Facebook page to see if something is canceled or rescheduled. We will also attempt to keep this page updated, but it is less likely to be as timely. We'll also try to get an email out as well. If you have participated with the group before, you should also have contact information for someone as well. Feel free to call.

Annual Retreat

Also held at Fall's Lake but at an indoor facility with a sales table and a speaker!
Our next retreat is currently not planned. It will be held in 2024. We'll post something more as the time draws nearer.
